Product details
A decorated glass jar with gold finish lid, comes with layered biscuit mix inside and a festive tree-shaped cookie cutter. Ideal to give as a gift or to make delicious chocolate biscuits at home.
How to use
Cooking Instructions: (should make about 24 biscuits)
You will also need (not included in this set): 110g butter or margarine, 1 large egg, 20ml milk and flour for rolling.
Melt the butter (or margarine) and allow to cool.
Pour the jar contents into a mixing bowl.
Lightly beat the egg. Add the beaten egg, milk and butter (or margarine) to the mixture. Then mix (make sure you break up the brown sugar which can stick together) and lightly knead into a dough.
Wrap the dough in cling film and pop into the fridge for 20 to 30 minutes.
Pre-heat your oven to 160°C/320°F/Gas Mark 3 (140°C/285°F for a fan assisted oven) and line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to approximately 0.5cm even thickness (Tip: It may be helpful to lightly flour the rolling pin!).
Use the cutter to press out the biscuits and place them onto the baking tray. Repeat this until all dough is used.
Bake in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until baked. Do not overcook.
Using oven gloves, remove the baking tray from the oven and allow the biscuits to cool on a cooling rack.
Once cooled, enjoy the biscuits, or store them in an airtight container and consume within 3 days.
