Make it part of your post-party regime
False lashes can take any look from zero to a million dollars, and once you’ve mastered the art of application they’ll party as hard as you do (if you’re yet to fine-tune your false lash application technique, check out our false lash tutorial).
But when bedtime beckons, try taking a few minutes to properly remove your false lashes rather than whipping them straight off and tossing them in the bin (or on the floor, if you’re as haphazard as us after a big night out). Your natural lashes will thank you for it, and you may find there’s a bit of life left in your falsies too.
Break the bond
First, soak a cotton pad in make-up remover and gently dab (don’t rub!) along your lash line to help break down the glue that’s kept your false lashes firmly in place all night. An oil-based eye make-up remover is the best tool for this task – we love Botanics All Bright Soothing Eye Makeup Remover.
Freshen up your falsies
If there’s still some life left in your lashes, give them a quick clean ready for your next night out. Simply soak two Boots Double Faced Cotton Wool Pads in eye make-up remover and press your lashes in between them, then leave them for a few minutes to get rid of any traces of mascara (we know you just want to hit the hay at this point, but you’ll thank yourself in the morning). Once the eye make-up remover has worked its magic, pop your false lashes back in their box, and head to bed. Sweet dreams, lash queen!
