Our Travel Vaccination & Health Advice Service34 enables you to get all of the travel health and vaccination information you need, to help you have a happy and healthy holiday. Get started by booking an appointment with a selected Boots pharmacy. At this appointment your pharmacist will run through a personalised risk assessment to assess individual needs & discuss any vaccinations or antimalarials to be considered for your trip, these will be given in the initial 40-minute travel health appointment. If you are attending with other people, each person must be seen individually. For vaccinations that require multiple doses, the pharmacist will book you in for a follow-up 15-minute appointment to receive the subsequent doses.

If you’re over 65 and haven’t already had the NHS vaccination, speak to your doctor about having this. It’s a different type of vaccination to the one used in the Boots service so you may want to consider having both to further increase your protection against pneumonia. You may also be eligible for the NHS vaccination if you are under 65 and are living with a long-term health condition such as diabetes. The Boots Pneumonia Vaccination Service does not replace the need for the NHS vaccination.

The NHS Blood Pressure Check Service is for adults aged 40+ that do not have a diagnosis of hypertension, adults under 40 that have a recognised family history of hypertension (at the Pharmacist’s discretion) and adults referred by the GP for the measurement of blood pressure.
