Product details
"Kelo-Cote is an advanced, clinically proven silicone gel to help prevent and treat old and new hypertrophic and keloid scars resulting from general surgical procedures, c-section, trauma, wounds and burns.
Kelo-Cote helps to smooth, soften and flatten scars, reduce redness and discoloration and relieve the itching, pain and discomfort associated with scars. Kelo-Cote self-dries to form an invisible, breathable and waterproof flexible layer within minutes, providing 24-hour protection with just 2 applications a day.
Kelo-cote forms a bond with the stratum corneum (the outer layer of dead skin cells) forming a protective barrier against chemical, physical and microbial invasion of the scar site while assisting with hydration. This creates an environment which allows the scar to mature through normalized collagen synthesis cycles, and improves the physiological and cosmetic appearance of the scar.
Suitable for use under make up and for sensitive skin."
Suitable for
Suitable for use on children from 3 months and people with sensitive skin.
How to use
Please read enclosed leaflet carefully before use. Start treatment as soon as the wound is closed or stitches are removed. Ensure that the affected area is clean and dry. Apply Kelo-cote to the area as a very thin layer, do not rub in, but allow to dry. Remove any excess product if it does not dry completely. Once dry, sunblock and cosmetics can be applied. Apply twice daily. For maximum effect, Kelo-cote Gel should have 24 hour contact with the skin. Recommended minimum treatment is 60-90 days, older scars may take longer; continue to use if improvement is still seen after the initial 90 days.
