Product details
Lumie Bodyclock wakes you gradually with light that mimics a real sunrise. The brightening light naturally brings you round from sleep, prompting your body to reduce the production of sleep hormones such as melatonin, whilst increasing the levels of hormones like cortisol that help you get up and go. This provides a fantastic start to the day for sufferers of SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) and the winter blues, and helps anyone who is not naturally a morning person to feel brighter and more energetic first thing. Lumie Bodyclock are available with a range of extra features to help you wake brighter and sleep well.
How to use
Wake up naturally
Bodyclock Spark 100 gently starts to brighten 30 minutes before your alarm time, waking you naturally as it reaches full brightness. Set your preferred final light intensity and wake up to a warm glow or a bright, sunny room. An optional alarm adds reassurance and there’s a tap-snooze function. Waking up with gradual light has been proven to boost mood, productivity and energy levels, so that you feel brighter and ready for the day ahead.
Unwind naturally
Wind down gradually with the sunset feature that lasts 30 minutes. Fading light is a signal for the body to produce melatonin ready for sleep, so the sunset makes you naturally drowsy. Realistic lighting fades through pink, orange, red then turns off or stays at a soft glow if you set the nightlight feature.
Combat Seasonal Affective Disorder
This product is recommended for SAD and winter blues sufferers as it helps to regulate your sleep-wake cycle. From Lumie, light therapy specialists and inventors of the very first wake-up lights.
