Meet the prescribing team
Get to know the Independent Medical Agency (IMA) healthcare professionals providing you with the clinical care you need through our clinics
WHAT IS THE IMA?
Patient safety is important to Boots. We created the Independent Medical Agency (IMA) to manage prescribing medicine via our online clinics.
The IMA pharmacists are all UK-registered and licensed healthcare professionals, just like our in-store pharmacists. You can check their details and registration status through the General Pharmaceutical Council website.
The IMA are responsible for the questions we ask you in any of the online clinic consultations. Any medicines ordered through one of our online clinics will be prescribed by an IMA pharmacist.
The IMA is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in England and with the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA) in Northern Ireland to provide services via our online clinics.

WHICH BOOTS PHARMACY LOOKS AFTER MY ONLINE CLINIC ORDER?
