How to use

How to take:
For oral use.
Adults:
Take one tablet once a day at the same time each day with food or milky drink where possible.
Start taking Maloff Protect 1 to 2 days before travel.
Continue taking Maloff Protect every day during your stay and for another 7 days after you return.
If you are sick (vomit) within one hour of taking your Maloff Protect tablet, take another dose straight away.
Do not take more than the recommended dose.
Not suitable for use in children and adolescents aged under 18 years unless prescribed by a doctor.

Further advice for travellers:
If you’re going to a country or area that has a risk of malaria it’s really important that you take steps to minimise the risk of being bitten, which includes using insect repellents and mosquito nets. Active Ingredients: Each film-coated tablet contains 250mg of Atovaquone and 100mg of Proguanil hydrochloride.

How much Maloff Protect will I need?
Maloff Protect will need to be taken once daily to ensure the maximum benefits.
You should purchase enough tablets to cover the following:
- One or two days before travelling to an area which has malaria
- AND the total number of days you expect to be in the malaria area
- AND the seven days after returning to a malaria-free area
You can purchase Maloff Protect for up to 4 travellers. Ensure you have calculated enough tablets for the trip and the number of travellers.

The maximum duration of travel for which Maloff Protect can be supplied without prescription is 12 weeks (93 tablets). For longer durations of travel, advice should be sought from a doctor or other qualified prescriber.
