SEVEN SEAS®
Discover how your body benefits from Omega 3
Omega 3 is in every cell of your body…
Omega 3 is found in every cell of your body and plays a role in everything you do. Omega 3 supports the healthy function of your heart1, brain2, and vision2.
1. Heart health: Omega 3 fatty acids DHA & EPA contribute to the normal function of your heart while helping maintain normal blood pressure3 and triglyceride levels4.
2. Brain health: Omega 3 DHA plays an important role in the normal functioning of your brain2.
3. Eye health: Omega fatty acid DHA makes up 50 to 70% of the fatty acids in the rod cells of your retinas. Thus, Omega 3 fatty acids are very important to support the maintenance of normal vision2.
…But your body can’t make Omega 3 from scratch
Did you know your body can’t produce Omega 3 from scratch? Therefore, you can only get Omega 3 from external sources, including your diet and/or through supplementation such as Omega 3 capsules. This is where Seven Seas® plays its role by offering high quality food supplements which bring you the important health benefits of Omega 3.
In your diet, the richest sources of Omega 3 fatty acids (DHA & EPA) are different species of oily fish. The UK Government recommends that a healthy diet should contain at least two portions of fish per week, one of them being oily fish.
However, most of the UK population do not achieve the recommended intake of oily fish*. If you believe that you are not getting the recommended amount of Omega 3 form your diet, you might want to consider topping up your levels with Omega 3 supplementation.
Omega-3 supplements can be enriched with further important nutrients
Omega-3 can be paired with additional nutrients, such a vitamins B12, D & C, glucosamine, chondroitin, magnesium or turmeric. For instance, adding vitamins B12 & C contribute to normal energy release5 and vitamin D helps support the normal function of the immune system6, on top of the important health benefits of Omega-3 for the heart1, brain2 and vision3.
Seven Seas® Omega-3 supplements come in several nutrient combinations so you can find the supplements that best fit your health needs.
