Be pretty in pink with The Plastic Boy

If there’s a look that screams gorgeous glam, it’s this one. We’ve teamed up with The Plastic Boy to create a pink smokey eye look (complete with glittering gems) that’s just perfect for celebrating Pride virtually with your friends and family. What are you waiting for? Let’s get started.

Psst! Want an on-fleek looking flick to your eyeshadow? Place some tape on the corners of your eyes before you start your eyeshadow, it’s a nifty little hack to catch fall-out dust from your eyeshadow, too.

Time to prime

Lock your look in all day long with the Too Faced Born This Way Super Coverage Concealer, choosing a shade that’s slightly lighter than your skin tone so the pinks you’re about to apply really pop. For stand-out shadows, top up your concealer with the Too Faced Born This Way Multi-Use Powder.

Pinky perfection

Take your Morphe X Jeffree Star The Jeffree Star Artistry Palette in shade ‘Self-made’ and apply to your outer lids. Next, apply the shade ‘Mogul’ to the corner of your eyes, dabbing it on for a popping purple pigment and working it along the lash line for maximum contrast.

Add some drama and definition to your outer crease with shade ‘Boticelli’ from the Lime Crime Eyeshadow Palette Venus XL – the harder you press your brush the fiercer the colour.

Cut your crease

With your fave concealer, cut your crease and apply the shade ‘Don’t know her’ to the centre of your eye, filling your brush with lots of pigment to bring all the drama. Towards the outer eye and on the edge of the cut crease, apply the sparkling shade ‘Inspire’ from your Lime Crime palette, making sure to max out your lids with colour. Complete your eyeshadow by applying ‘Boticelli’ to the base of your outer corner to add just a touch of depth.

Glitzy glitter

What’s a Pride make-up look without a splash of glitter? Take your Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Liner in shade ‘Studio’ and apply to the inner corner of your eyes. Because the glitter is suspended in a gel, it won’t separate in the bottle, so you don’t need to shake it like you do with watery formulas – result!

Line & define

Step up the drama with NYX Professional Makeup Epic Ink Eye Liner, and draw your wing starting from the inner corner of your eye – the tape you applied earlier will help you trace the shape of the flick.

Don’t forget to add some definition underneath your eye. Using the same two shades you used for your lids, apply to your lower lash line, remembering to blend the shades for an eye-catching, blown-out look.

For the waterline, use Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil in shade ‘Roxy’. The creamy, shimmery texture glides on easily and it stays in place so you can rock your look from AM to PM!

Highlight hit

No look is complete without a touch of highlighter. Using shade ‘Two’ in your Morphe X Jeffree Star Palette, apply to the inner corners of your eye using your finger or a small, fluffy brush. Get that highlighted definition on your cheeks by applying shade ‘HBIC’ from your Urban Decay Naked Honey Palette (yes, you can use eyeshadow as a highlighter!), using a fan brush – the golden shade is perfect for a glowin’ look. You can even add some to your chin, nose and top lip. Don’t forget to lock it in using Morphe Continuous Setting Mist.

Gems galore

Using Barry M Face Jewels Arabian Nights, finalise your full-on glam by sticking the gems at the corner of your eye and over the arch of your brow.

And there you have it, the boldest and brightest Pride look around – ta-dah!
